This one comes up almost every week now, usually phrased with a slightly suspicious tilt of the head: “Hang on — is Bioniq a Herbalife thing now, or not?” It is a fair question, and the answer people expect is either a flat yes or a flat no. It is neither, which is exactly why it is worth twenty minutes of my writing time rather than a shrug across the counter.

Bioniq was founded in London in 2019 as a personalised nutrition company. In March 2026 it was announced that Herbalife would acquire substantially all of the assets of Bioniq's core personalised nutrition business, and that deal completed on 30 April 2026.
The wording matters more than it looks. It was an asset purchase of that core business — not a case of one company swallowing another whole and repainting the sign. The most accurate short version, and the one I use when somebody asks me directly, is simply: Bioniq's personalised nutrition business is now part of Herbalife. If you see it described anywhere as Herbalife buying the whole company outright, that is a tidier story than the real one.
“So is Bioniq GO a Herbalife product now?”
Practically speaking, Bioniq GO sits inside the Herbalife family, and it is still very much its own thing. It keeps its own name, its own site, its own ordering process and its own approach to building a formula. You do not buy it the way you buy a tub of shake mix; it arrives through the Bioniq questionnaire route, which is a different journey entirely.
That distinction trips people up, so here is the shape of it:
- It is not a rebrand. Nothing on your shelf changed name or packaging because of this.
- It is not a replacement. Nothing in the existing Herbalife range was retired or swapped out for it.
- It is not an add-on to an existing order. Bioniq GO is ordered on its own site, with its own subscription, separate from anything you order from me.
What genuinely has not changed
The bit I get asked about most anxiously is whether the product itself was altered.
