A question that comes up more than you would think, usually phrased with a bit of worry: “I answered those questions ages ago, and almost nothing about my week looks the same now — does that mean what I’m taking is wrong?”
Not wrong. Just answered by a slightly different person. And that is worth unpicking, because personalisation only earns its name if it can move when you do. A formula built once and then frozen for ever is really just a bespoke version of the same generic tin.
Your answers are a snapshot, not a signature
When you sit down with Bioniq GO and work through the free Wellness Assessment, you are describing a particular stretch of your life: how you are eating this season, how much you are moving, what you want to support at the moment, how old you are. No blood test, no clinic appointment — just an honest account of where you currently are. Those answers are matched to one of 40 formulas.
The bit people miss is that none of those inputs are permanent. Your age ticks over. The job that had you eating at your desk turns into one that does not. You start running at weekends, or you stop. You go from cooking properly four nights a week to living off whatever is quick. Every one of those is a different answer to a question you have already been asked once.
What actually shifts when the answers shift
Changing an answer does not tear the whole thing up and start again from nothing. It moves you across the range. A formula is a particular combination and level of nutrients drawn from up to 23 science-backed ones, and different combinations sit behind different sets of answers. Nudge the inputs and you land on a neighbouring formula rather than something unrecognisable.
So in practice: telling it you are now training three times a week rather than not at all points you towards a build weighted for an active lifestyle. Telling it your priority has moved from everyday energy and focus to supporting normal skin, hair and nails moves the emphasis accordingly. Crossing into a new decade shifts things quietly, because what a body is asked to do at 30 and at 55 is not identical.
What does not change is the shape of the thing itself. Still one dose a day, still premium Swiss granules rather than a handful of pills, still vegan-friendly. The complexity moves inside the formula; your morning stays exactly as simple as it was.
The answers most worth revisiting
- What you are actually eating now. Not your best week — your ordinary one. People tend to describe an aspirational diet the first time round and a truthful one the second.
- How much you move. A new gym habit, a change of commute, a spell of doing nothing much at all — all real changes to the input.
- What you actually want to support. Goals drift. The thing that mattered last January is often not the thing that matters now, and there is no prize for loyalty to an old one.
- Your age. The least interesting answer to update and the one people forget most reliably, because it changes without you doing anything.
Retaking it is smaller than it sounds
I think the reason people put this off is that “redo the assessment” sounds like admin. It really is not. It is the same handful of questions, it is free, and it takes less time than deciding what to have for dinner. If nothing much has moved, you will land more or less where you were, which is itself useful information. If something has, you find out.
My rough rule when someone asks: revisit it when something real has changed, and otherwise once in a while as a sanity check. I have written separately about how often you should refresh your Bioniq formula if you want a firmer steer on timing.
None of this replaces the basics, incidentally. Supplements sit alongside decent food and a bit of movement, not in place of them, and the same goes for anything from our targeted nutrition range. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
If your last set of answers belongs to a version of your life that has quietly ended, the fix is straightforward — take the free Wellness Assessment again and let the formula catch up with you. And if you have never done it at all, that is the same starting point: a few honest answers, and you can build your personalised formula from where you actually are today rather than where you were.
